A current issue...
An issue from nowadays life that concerns me, is the way people are using social media, comparing it to how it was used before, when I was a teenager. Back in school, the people I knew (and I) used to upload funny pictures of them and they would write funny captions below (with "People" I'm talking about the 90's kids from like 1992 until 1997). But now, instead of that, people take some "artistic" pictures of them and on their description below they write some deep quote about something you can hardly relate to. It seems like social media has become in sort of a way of showing yourself to the others the way you want them to look at you. It makes me a little sad sometimes that the way social media is being used is not as innocent as it used to be. That's why I chose this issue.
I know this issue isn't a matter of life or death, but it can be relevant thinking about the importance that people are giving to social media, and that this "urge" of looking good is, in a sort of way, consuming people's lives. It can get out of people's hands and turn into a bad thing, and I don't know how a solution can be implemented for this. I guess since it's not urgent, it doesn't necessarily needs a solution.
I think that the social media is a big problem of the century XXI, I don't like nothing exhibit my private life in a global network where any person, good or bad, have acces from any computer in any country

I think social media help us to connect in ways that weren't possible before
