¿Why would someone want to study cinema?

The true is that I’m not happy with this career, I have a lot of critic but the most important ¿It works teach cinematography in a academic context? Because ¿someone really can understand the cinema to teach it? I don’t have an answer, maybe i think the cinema don’t have to be teach them, Maybe it's a discipline that has to be learned in practice like it used to be in the old days.

But considering that the film schools are a posibility to democratize the area, because it gives an oportunity to anyone (HAHA yea, sure) who wants to study cinematography I think that there must be more responsibility about it and with the people who comes to study this.

From my experience a big problem is that the univesirty does not show you the hard life that awaits you until the middle of the career when you are indebted, (it also has to do with the problems of the education superior on this country) Is a place where it matters a lot who are you, where you come from and the many contacts that you have.

Another bad thing is that you have to have a important economic support throughout the career, meanly to finance the short that you have to realice each semester, owing the null support of the university.

The second problem is the focus of this university, they focuses too much on theory and little on practice, so the graduates are at a disadvantage with the other film schools.
